MY NAME IS JOEY HUIZENGA
I’m a student at Millikin University passionate about capturing the energy of sports through photography and design. My work combines creativity and storytelling to highlight the moments, athletes, and experiences that make sports exciting. I’m eager to grow my skills and pursue a career in sports media as a photographer and designer.

My Background
Sports have been at the core of my journey, shaping my identity through competition, leadership, and perseverance. In high school, I competed in football, basketball, and track, building a foundation of discipline and teamwork. Now, as a collegiate track and field athlete specializing in hammer and javelin, I serve as team captain and proudly hold the eighth all-time spot in hammer throw at my university. These experiences have taught me the importance of dedication, resilience, and striving for excellence—qualities I carry with me in everything I do.
